Privacy Policy

This privacy policy for the DateCue mobile application details the security, processing, and deletion procedures for user data.

This Privacy Policy has been compiled by Eyup Celik ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") for the mobile application DateCue ("the Application"). In compliance with Google Play Store developer policies, this policy explains how we collect, use, transmit, store, and disclose your personal and sensitive user data, and how you can request the deletion of your data.


#1. Collection and Use of Personal and Sensitive User Data

To provide our AI-driven dating and messaging coaching services (such as response suggestions, tone adjustments, cringe checks, and bio optimizations), the Application accesses, collects, and transmits the following information:

A. Screenshots and Image Data (Sensitive Data Access)

  • Purpose: To generate customized AI response suggestions for your dating chats, you may choose to select and upload screenshots of your conversations from your device's photo gallery.
  • Transmission and Processing: The selected screenshots are transmitted securely over HTTPS to our backend API. The image data is processed transiently in memory (RAM) to extract conversation text.
  • Storage: Screenshots are NOT stored on our servers, disks, or databases. They are immediately and permanently discarded from memory once the text extraction and AI analysis are completed.

B. Text Messages and Profile Bios

  • Purpose: Any message texts or dating bios you manually type into the Application are securely processed by our servers to generate response ideas, coaching advice, and optimization suggestions.
  • System Log Protection (Log Masking): To prevent accidental data leaks, our server logs automatically redact and mask all sensitive information, including user-submitted messages, bios, authorization headers, and generated AI replies. No clear-text user content is ever written to our server logs.

C. Device and Usage Data (Ads & Analytics)

  • Google Advertising ID (GAID): The free version of the Application uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may access and collect your device’s Google Advertising ID (GAID) to display personalized or non-personalized advertisements.
  • Analytics and Crash Reports: We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous data about how users interact with the app, device models, operating system versions, and crash logs to help us maintain application stability.

D. Billing and Purchase Data

  • All in-app subscriptions and purchases are processed directly by the Google Play Billing system. We do not collect, process, or store credit card details or payment credentials. We only receive and process anonymous subscription validation tokens from Google Play to verify your premium access.

#2. Third-Party Data Sharing and Disclosures

In compliance with Google Play Developer policies, we only share data with the following trusted third-party services to ensure application functionality:

  • OpenRouter (Large Language Models): Text and bio inputs are sent via API to Large Language Models on OpenRouter to generate coaching advice. The service agreement specifies that user data is processed only to generate suggestions and is not used to train or refine their models.
  • Google Play Services & Firebase: Used for user authentication, subscription verification, and crash/usage analytics.
  • Google AdMob: Used to serve advertising inside the free tier of the Application.

#3. Account and Data Deletion Requests (Google Play Compliant)

We respect your right to control your personal information. In compliance with Google Play’s Data Deletion Policy, we provide straightforward methods for you to request the deletion of your account and all associated data:

  • In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and clear your entire session history at any time by going to Settings > Delete Account within the Application. This permanently deletes your profile and all associated data from our servers.
  • Web/Remote Deletion Request: If you have already uninstalled the Application or cannot access it, you can request the deletion of your account and data by sending an email to eyow.celik@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will delete your account and all associated records from our systems within 72 hours and send you a confirmation email.

#4. Children’s Privacy

DateCue is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete this information from our servers.


#5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
